Restaurant & Commercial Kitchen Electrical Contractor

Restaurants open on a date, not when the electrical is done. We build franchise and independent restaurants, bars, cafes, and commercial kitchens across the Portland metro, from 600-amp services and 60-plus kitchen circuits to hood interlocks, signage power, and the brand-standard finishes that pass the franchisor's walk-through.

Kitchens with real loads

Commercial kitchens stack high-amperage cooking equipment, refrigeration, dish machines, and Type I hood exhaust and make-up air onto one service. We size the service and distribution from the equipment schedule, wire the hood-suppression shunt-trip interlocks, and rough in flexible capacity where equipment substitutions are likely.

Franchise build-outs on immovable dates

Our Super Chix build-out in Tualatin went from a 600-amp service to opening day on schedule, with kitchen specs arriving in waves and several late substitutions. We track the equipment schedule line by line and keep the inspector informed of revisions so nothing stalls at final.

Dining rooms, bars, and everything the guest sees

Dining and bar lighting with dimming scenes, signage and menu-board power, POS and low-voltage rough-in, exterior and patio lighting, and the health- and fire-inspection corrections that keep an existing restaurant open.

FAQ Common questions

Restaurant & Commercial Kitchen Electrical — Questions We Hear

How much electrical service does a restaurant need?
Most full-service restaurants land between 400 and 800 amps depending on cooking equipment and HVAC. We build the load calculation from your actual equipment schedule so the service is right the first time.
Can you wire the hood fire-suppression interlock?
Yes. We wire the shunt-trip breakers and interlocks that cut power to cooking equipment when the hood suppression system activates, coordinated with your hood and fire-suppression contractors.
Do you work on kitchens inside hotels and care facilities?
Yes. Recent work includes the buffet and commercial kitchen in a Homewood Suites and Hampton conversion and a Type I hood kitchen in a new 21-unit care home.
